HDMI

Transmission and distribution of HDMI signals
HDMI is now the most commonly used connector in sources of different kinds of multimedia content. In situations where there is a need to send an HDMI signal at a distance greater than 30 meters (maximum length of HDMI cables), or in a place where such a cable cannot be installed, it is reasonable to use the appropriate media converter that allows the transmission of the signal from the HDMI source using other type of transmission cable, more suitable for that application.
DIPOL offers a range of HDMI converters for different types of cables, both for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations. Additionally, some of the converters allow for remote control of the source of the HDMI signal via reverse transmission of IR signal from the remote controller of the source device.

Signal-HD HDMI to IP converter H3604 enables the user to connect remote (up to 100 m) source of HD content to HD-enabled television/monitor, using one CAT5e/6 cable. The set includes transmitter and receiver units and operates in multicast mode.
The bit rate of the compressed signal at the output of the transmitter is about 30 Mbps. The output signals can be properly decoded only by the dedicated receivers - it cannot be done by a PC equipped with a network card.
An application of the HDMI > IP converter/extender (point-to-point, via UTP cable)
The IP signal coming from the transmitter may be applied to an Ethernet switch (e.g. N29915) to split it among multiple receivers. With suitable types/numbers of network switches, the user could theoretically connect up to 253 receivers. However, one network can distribute signal only from one transmitter. In order to connect more transmitters, it is necessary to create VLANs (Virtual Local Area Network), logically separated computer networks within a larger physical network.
The additional receivers can be bought separately ( H3605 ). The important issue is the hardware version of the receivers - it must be the same as of the transmitter and the original receiver (the information on the hardware version is located on the bottoms of the devices).

Signal-HD H3606 HDMI to IP converter enables the user to connect remote (up to 100 m) source of HD content to HD-enabled television/monitor, using one CAT5e/6 cable. The set includes transmitter and receiver units, as well as remote control extender for a Blu-ray/DVD player, STB etc.

In any case, the important issue is the hardware version of the receivers - it must be the same as of the transmitter and the original receiver (the information on the hardware version is located on the bottoms of the devices).

The Signal-HD HDMI to fiber optic converter allows for long-range (up to 20 km) transmission of HDMI signal (up to FullHD 1080p) via a single-mode fiber. Simultaneously, it ensures remote control of the HDMI source device by converting and transmitting commands from its IR remote control.

HDMI Extender (RF over coax)
View of the HDMI extension kit H3609 (RF via coax, Tx and Rx units)
The H3609 HDMI extender allows for transmission of HDMI signal over long distances via 75 ohm coaxial cable. The maximum length of the transmission line (a single coaxial cable, e.g. E1015_1) is 800 m.
Typical application of the HDMI extender - point-to-point connection
In order to provide the HDMI signal to several TVs/monitors, the output signal from the transmitter should be split by a typical TV splitter. Each of the paths has to be terminated with the dedicated receiver. Generally, in the case of transmission path(s) shorter than 100 m it is necessary to use the R50150 attenuator.

To establish the connection between the transmitter and receiver, the user must select the same channel in both units (there is a choice among 100 TV channels). The width of the channel is 7 or 8 MHz (depending on the channel number). The selected channel can be injected into an existing antenna system, on the condition that it ensures necessary spacing to other channels used in the system.

Signal HDMI Extender H3611 allows the user to send a high-definition HDMI signal (from sat receiver, computer, multimedia player, Blu-ray player, etc.) to HD-enabled television or monitor via the existing AC power network in the home, office etc.
The maximum transmission distance is 300 meters (the sender and receiver must be connected to the same AC line (phase)). Additionally, the set allows for sending IR commands to the distant source device from the location of the receiver. The sender has a loopthrough HDMI output for a local monitor.

DVB-T Modulator Signal-400
View of the Signal-400 HDMI - COFDM (DVB-T) modulator R86700
SIGNAL-400 R86700 is a multipurpose digital modulator (DVB-T - COFDM) with HDMI input and USB interface, capable of processing SD, HD and Full HD signals. The output RF signal can be combined with any other TV signals.
The device is a single-channel modulator, which means that the output DVB-T multiplex contains one channel modulated by the source signal. Wide configuration options allow for combining the output DVB-T multiplex with existing DVB-T broadcasts distributed in the system, in a manner chosen by the administrator or investor (adjustable parameters include LCN, SID, PID, NIT).
The maximum bit rate is limited by the DVB-T standard (31.68 Mbps), whereas the maximum bit rate of the video stream cannot exceed 18.0 Mbps. All parameters are set with buttons and shown by the display located on the front panel of the modulator.
