Home and SOHO Wi-Fi networks - applications of TP-LINK 802.11n devices

The 802.11n standard allows transfer up to 300 Mbps and is ideal for transmitting multimedia such as video, audio, pictures, etc. The wireless transmission of a movie or music album can take much less time than sending the same files using Fast Ethernet cable. An important feature of 802.11n devices is compatibility with older standards. An 802.11n router can also cooperate with wireless adapters/cards using 802.11b and 802.11g standards.
The article provides examples of wireless WiFi networks based on TP-LINK devices.

Direct connection to telephone line and link sharing
It is one of the most popular ways to distribute Internet within the home, as most home users are connected to the Internet through ADSL lines (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line).
The router (1) with integrated ADSL modem is responsible for distribution of the connection to multiple computers, via wired or wireless means.
List of equipment that can be used in such installation:

Distribution of broadband access to the Internet
The connection is provided by the ISP (cable TV, DSL, or other operator) via Ethernet interface (it may be for example cable modem with RJ-45 socket). The user will need a router equipped with WAN port (RJ-45 socket).
The router (1) is responsible for distribution of the connection to multiple computers, via wired or wireless means.

Version 3
The Internet is provided wirelessly
When the Internet is distributed wirelessly, we need an AP (wireless router) with WISP (Wireless Internet Service Providers) mode enabling configuration of its wireless interface as WAN port.
The router can be directly connected to a suitable outdoor antenna via 50 ohm RF cable (e.g. Tri-Lan 240 E1171_100).

Version 4
Extensive office network
Lack of access to the Internet greatly reduces the functionality of buildings and premises. Wired LAN can be built on the occasion of major refurbishment of an existing facility or construction of a new one. However, it is impossible to completely predict the needs of the future users (the layout of the hardware). Fast, cheap and effective way to solve this problem is to install wireless network. The diagram below shows an example of an extensive office network.
