The APT-4-11-CA1 is a PoE network switch acting as an extender (repeater) of the LAN and PoE power supply. It is most often used in situations where several network devices (e.g. several IP cameras) need to be connected on a single UTP cable, or where an additional network branch is required.
The unit provides compatibility with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standards as a PoE receiver and with IEEE 802.3af/at standards on all output ports. It is mounted in an external ABOX-CA1 enclosure with IP68 protection.
Key features:
- can be powered from another PoE switch using 802.3af, 802.3at, 802.3bt or PoE Passive (PoE IN port)
- reinforces and splits the network signal (fully functional 100 Mbps switch)
- cascade power supply (one switch powers another)
- up to 3 PoE 802.3af/at receivers can be powered
- up to 60 W total power when powered via UTP
- high IP protection rating (IP68)
- built-in LR150 function increases maximum transmission distance to 150 metres
- clear status indication for operation and identification
- low power consumption (< 0.5 W)
- easy and quick start-up without configuring parameters
- wide operating temperature range (-25°C...+65°C)
Primary uses:
- as a splitter for 3 PoE receivers (IP cameras) powered from a single UTP cable, e.g. installation of additional cameras in place of the existing ones without changing the cabling
- as a cascade connection (serial) for connecting several PoE IP devices over distances exceeding 100 m UTP
- possibility of local power supply allows the construction of a complex structure of distribution points in extensive installations
The switch can be powered by an external power supply via a screw connector. In this case, LAN port 1 functions as a network port only (without PoE power supply function).
The unit is sold in white, but there is nothing stopping you from painting it - just degrease it properly and lightly matt it. Painting the case does not affect the warranty of the electronics inside.
