ETH-ETH500-SET je sada dvou extenderů pro zvýšení dosahu sítě LAN s napájením PoE. Po instalaci mezi libovolným přepínačem PoE a IP kamerou napájenou přes PoE umožňuje prodloužit dosah sítě až na 800 metrů pomocí standardního kabelu UTP.

The devices allow cameras or other IP PoE devices to be installed in remote locations where the installation of additional cabling is either impossible or uneconomical. It provides an economical alternative to cabling based on fibre optics and a separate power line.

The ETH-ETH500 module can be powered from any PoE switch via an RJ45 port. The ETH-ETH500 modules are then connected to each other via UTP cable via the LONG RANGE ports. The maximum cable length in the LONG RANGE path is up to 800 m. This connection provides bi-directional data transmission and PoE power transfer.
A camera or other PoE receiver must be connected to the RJ45 port of the ETH-ETH500 module at the end of the line. Once the receiver is correctly detected by the power switch, the entire path is automatically powered and the network connection is established.
Once power is applied and the cables are properly connected, the devices establish communication at 100 Mbps. In the event of problems with the quality of the connection, transmission can be automatically downgraded to 10 Mbps, which will be signalled by lighting up the corresponding indicator LED.

Primary uses:
- Modernisation of existing analogue CCTV installations to Ethernet-based systems.
- Monitoring of construction sites where, on a limited budget, an installation must be made over a wide area. Low cost cabling with security of use in areas often subject to damage.
- Construction of CCTV installations for photovoltaic farms, playing fields, recreational areas, city parks, etc.
In the case of installation in limited space, it is possible to cut and break out the mounting brackets of the cradle, thus reducing the dimensions of the module.
The ETH-ETH500 modules have the possibility to be powered from external power supplies via additional screw connectors. It is not possible to power the PoE receiver in this mode. Power supply to both devices on both sides of the LONG RANGE path is required for correct operation.
