The DS-2TD1228-2/QA(BLACK) is an IP bispectral camera from Hikvision's HeatPro series, which combines the benefits of traditional and thermal surveillance. It is equipped with two sensors, the first, a visible light CMOS sensor with a resolution of 2688 x 1520 px and the second, a thermal imager with a resolution of 256 x 192 px. The camera enables the creation of image fusion, a combination of visible and thermal images, so that the resulting thermal image is of good quality. The VCA analytics, which operates on the basis of the built-in GPU graphics processor and deep learning algorithm, allows for effective intruder detection and a reduction in false alarms. The Temperature measurement and fire detection allow it to be used for more advanced projects. The camera is equipped with a microSD card slot allowing the use of cards up to 256GB. The IP66 high-tightness housing ensures that the electronics are protected from adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered by conventional DC 12 V or by PoE (802.3af compliance).

The DS-2TD1228-2/QA camera features VCA image analytics operating with an on-board GPU and deep learning algorithm. This combination allows it to be used effectively and to minimise false alarms. Four types of analysis are available - line crossing, intrusion detection, zone entry and zone exit detection. A maximum of 8 rules can be run at the same time. Temperature measurement is possible from -20°C to 150°C with an accuracy of +/-8°C. There are 3 measurement types available - point, area, line. A maximum of 21 rules can be set, consisting of 10 points, 10 areas and 1 line. In the case of fire detection, up to 10 points of its source can be dynamically detected.
Principle of operation and advantages of thermal imaging
A thermal imaging camera is the perfect complement to video surveillance operating in visible light and reflected infrared. Analogue or IP cameras used in surveillance enable people to be correctly identified and recognised during the day and at night when an infrared illuminator is used. A thermal imaging camera does not need any illumination to work properly. Its operating principle is completely different from that of conventional cameras. Any body with a temperature above absolute zero (0 K = -273.15 °C) emits infrared radiation. Due to the existing relationship between temperature and radiation intensity, the thermal imaging camera receives infrared waves and calculates the temperature value based on their length. Using a thermal imaging camera, the temperature distribution on the surface of the body under examination can be seen and the temperature values measured.

A very important parameter indicating the sophistication of the device is the compression. The better the type of compression, the less bandwidth is required for the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and storage requirements by half on average. As a result, hard drives with half the capacity can be used or recordings can be stored for twice as long.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems. It offers IP camera viewing, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, alarm event handling, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, hard disk recording and much more.
Hikvision devices can be operated via mobile phones with Android or iOS by using the dedicated Hik-Connect mobile application. It can be used to remotely view live video from DVR, NVR, IP cameras, door entry systems using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks and also to view recorded videos. Operating video intercoms with the application provides also remote opening of the electric strike, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the subscriber. The application allows connectivity via IP addresses and via P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of the cloud service that provides access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.
